BALANCED ROCK
Located about 20 miles west of Buhl, Idaho on a good hard surfaced road. Inquire at Castle Ford for exact location. This very unusual rock is 48 feet high, 40 feet wide at the top, and only 3 feet at the bottom.
So can anyone here provide us with the EXACT location?

IT’S AS HANDY AS HAVING THE RIGHT TOOL
A WORKSHOP TELEPHONE is as handy as having the right tool. No more running upstairs to take calls. At your fingertips when you want to call for supplies. And a wall telephone hangs within easy reach, yet doesn’t take up working space. Call the telephone business office today.
Ya know, folks, in the grand scheme of things, this really wasn’t that long ago.
Before you dream more seriously about traveling back to those good ole days, ask yourself:
Are you willing to give up your mobile device?

A HAREM of PALMS
GREETINGS from the DATE EMPIRE
MALE AND FEMALE DATE BLOSSOMS
The fluffy white male blossom is seen on the right while the female blossom which appears like individual beads on a string is to the left. Dates have been hand pollinated for centuries as nature provides no adequate means of transferring pollen. Date groves average one male palm to a harem of 49 palms or 50 trees to the acre.
So is this guy a professional Date Pollinator?

YOU DON’T KNOW BEANS ‘TIL YOU’VE BEEN TO BOSTON!
Boston, founded in 1630, has become famous for fine foods one of which is Boston baked beans. However, residents of Beacon Hill (pictured on the card) would rather be known for exceptionally succulent seafoods and robust yankee cooking which brings out the natural, hearty flavor of meat rather than disguise it with spices and seasonings.

WESTERN COWBOY RELOADS
When I was 4 years old, I had an imaginary Cowboy friend. His name was Tex. One summer day my neighbor across the street was sitting in her breezeway with a female friend I hadn’t met before. They were laughing a lot and loudly. I walked up to them and the friend thought I was adorable and she asked me my name and I told her and I introduced her to my friend, Tex, “He’s a Cowboy” motioning with both arms to the air at my right. They laughed a lot and loudly.
Tex died that day. They killed Tex.

SMITHALO
Alright, class…
A JACKALOPE is a cross between what two animals? Jack Rabbit and Antelope.
A SMITHALO is a cross between what two animals? Read on.
“Smithalo” the 60-ton rock, concrete & steel monument, measuring 23 ft. long and 15-1/4 ft. high, which pays tribute to the American bison or buffalo, was constructed by brothers, Ray O. and Chester Smith in 1977 & 1978. Dedicated July 2, 1978, attended by 3,000 guests, it is located 7 mi. southwest of Longford in eastern Ottawa County, Kansas.
This postcard was born after the BAD POSTCARDS time period I have set for this Tumblr (1950 - 1975). I acquired it this weekend and was sure it was at least 10 years older. It’s such a great card. I couldn’t resist.
