O CANADA!

July 1 is CANADA DAY!
BAD POSTCARDS will celebrate with some Canadian postcard gems. (BAD POSTCARDS is specifically devoted to United States postcards, but I have snuck a few Canadian ones into the blog.) Enjoy these vintage postcards from an era when the holiday was called DOMINION DAY. (Changed to Canada Day in 1982.)
The Canada-themed week will begin on Sunday, July 1 and continue through Friday, July 6. Of course, Canada will have to be pushed aside on Wednesday, July 4 for an All-American Independence Day postcard.

Canada…Land of the Maple Leaf
Across the vast regions of Canada and throughout the world, the Maple Leaf is recognized as the symbol of this proud nation. The Maple is most beautiful in Autumn with hues of red, gold, yellow and bronze. The multitude of colour is typical of the variety and beauty of Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the Arctic to the Great Lakes.
