BALKAN ARMENIAN RESTAURANT, NEW YORK CITY
Happy NYC Restaurant Week (#4)
At last, a real New York City restaurant! It’s the “Nationally Famous” Balkan Armenian Restaurant at 129 East 27th Street. If you addressed the postcard, the restaurant would stamp it and mail it for you.
The meal depicted is described on the back: “SHISH KEBAB COMBINATION: Tender pieces of lamb, fastidiously trimmed of all fat and all sinews, marinated Balkan style and alternated with tomatoes, onions and green pepper delicately broiled on skewers, served with potato, lettuce and radish.”
I can’t figure out what’s on that plate northwest of the kebab with the white mound with red sprinkles
