MOST BEAUTIFUL RESORT IN THIS HALF OF MITCHELL COUNTY Historic Waconda or Great Spirit Springs, located on Highway #24, Mitchell County, Kansas. It is 54 feet in diameter and situated on top of a mound. First record of Springs was given by General Pike in 1814; it was an Indian Shrine, for centuries, famous for its health producing waters.

This is the first one I’ve posted on BP.
