This was mailed in 1960. The sender wrote: “How about flying over & doing a little Pineapple picking too? This is the land of relaxation. Great trip. Betsy & Hilda.”

IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE HOW BIG THINGS GROW IN NEBRASKA
Caption not mine. It’s printed on the verso.
The children at right seem very interested in how big things grow.
Another corny postcard.

WORLD’S LARGEST PINEAPPLE
Verso:
“HAWAIIAN LANDMARK—Looming high on Honolulu’s skyline is the ‘world’s largest pineapple,’ which each year guides many thousands of visitors to the world’s largest fruit cannery, home of famed Dole products. The ‘pineapple’ is actually a company-owned water reservoir—capacity 10,000 gallons.”
On the card, a line is drawn through “10,000” and “100,000” is handwritten underneath it.
New Yorkers: Imagine all of our current water towers replaced with ones shaped and painted like different fruits and vegetables. Any other ideas?

I want to know how many vacationing guys bought this postcard, added a “y” to the end of “Horn” and mailed it to their drinking buddies back home.
She looks drunk.
