PICTURESQUE INDIANA
INDIANA TOLL ROAD
Stretching east and west, across northern Indiana’s farmland. It provides miles of non-stop scenic traveling.
The sender of this card had another opinion. He wrote to his friend in New Jersey:
“Driving back from Mpls. Ind-Ohio is so flat and uninteresting. Traveling just isn’t what it used to be — in ALL respects.”

HOJO’S OVER THE HIGHWAY
I would like someone to write a song with this title. All I ask for is credit for the title and three percent royalties.
Located on the Illinois tollway (I-94), twenty miles south of the Wisconsin line, the Lake Forest Oasis serves motorists twenty-four hours a day. This unique over-the-road facility offers auto and truck fuel, restaurant, gift shop, restrooms, and telephone service in a lively nautical decor.
Hey Illinois. I love it that you call them oases!

TAKE THE OHIO TURNPIKE TO HEAVEN
TONIGHT: An Evening of Boring Scenery Bad Postcards
Several weeks ago, I devoted one evening to bad postcards from my “boring scenery” category. Example: CAPE DISAPPOINTMENT.
There were several people who Someone raved about these. So tonight, I’ll be posting five more entertainingly boring bad postcards. Enjoy!
On the verso for this card:
“Sign showing direction to the Ohio Turnpike as seen from one of the Entrances along the Turnpike.”
