HAPPY MUSEUM DAY
ROY ROGER’S [sic] MUSEUM
Apple Valley, California
Roy Roger’s Museum is located near the Roy Roger’s Apple Valley Inn. The Inn is the center of activity for the valley. The museum is the art center of the valley with paintings by great western artists. One of the greatest is Bill Bender who not only can paint but a fellow who grew up in the saddle.
Here one may see mementos that Roy has collected on his hunting trips and from years in motion pictures. The old fort-like building is topped with a large replica of Trigger that stands guard above the entrance.
I love errors and awkward writing on these postcards. Here, they misplaced the apostrophe in Roy’s name (Roger’s vs. Rogers’). They tripled down on the error so at least they were consistent. Fortunately, it is correct on the museum’s sign.
It must be really uncomfortable growing up in a saddle.
I once had a pony named Trigger.
That is all.
